What are they?
Yellowfoot Mushrooms!
Similar to the name bluefoot, with the delicate texture of oyster or hen of the woods. They have bright yellow stems and not-so-shocking, they taste divine!!!
If you can find them, try a few. Simply saute with a bit of olive oil and lemon juice or garlic. They have a pungent salty woody taste that is delicious eaten along or as a gourmet side dish.
If you've seen yellowfoots before-let me know! It was a first time find for me.

I've enjoyed Lobster Mushrooms and have had some luck finding them dried at Whole Foods. They make a wonderful addition to wild mushroom risotto.

VSP,
Yes I have tried lobster mushrooms. they are meatier than most shrooms. Very woody. Like chanterelles I recall. YUM.
Did you read my mushrooms 101:http://healthyhappylife.com/2009/02/mushrooms-101-select-serve-and-savor.html

I haven't tried these, but they look delish! On the mushroom note, I once saw Lobster Mushrooms, didn't get them, and have been looking for them ever since. Have you ever used them?
