It's a good question to ask the water-bottle toting, smoothie-drinking, supplement popping young people out there.
You may know your saturated fat from your trans fat. And your iceberg from your romaine lettuce. But for many seniors who grew up on moms butter mashed potatoes, turkey, gravy and whole milk, nutrition basics are a foreign concept.

Seniors Diets Need Help!

Just a reminder...check up on your grandparents, elderly neighbors, parents and elderly friends.
Heck, go so far as to cook them a healthy meal at their home and freeze some of the leftovers. Sweet potatoes, veggie lasagna, at-home burrito night with black beans and spanish rice (hold to sour cream).
Seniors may find it challenging to get super healthy foods into their diets. Old habits, lack of knowledge, health conditions such as poor digestion and even lack of cooking skills are all factors that can interfere with a healthy diet.
